Job Description/ Duties:
This position works as a part of the content area team to integrate Head Start/Early Head Start services for children and families and is responsible for education and early childhood development services and services to children with disabilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum requirement is a High school diploma or GED. AA degree in special education, early childhood education, child development, psychology or other closely related field in Special Education degree and/or education preferred. Training in field(s) related to social, human or family services and experience in securing and individualizing needed services for children with disabilities preferred.
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area). Acceptable tuberculosis screening results, a clear criminal records check (including child abuse registry check if required by state regulations) and an initial health exam are required post job offer and prior to employment, as well as annual clearances. Current and former Head Start/Early Head Start parents will receive preference for employment vacancies for which they are qualified.
